2010 Neptune Festival Boardwalk on September 24

Did you know that the 37th annual Neptune Frestival starts this Friday, September 24, 2010 at Virginia Beach, Virginia.  The 2010 Neptune Festival Boardwalk weekend most featured event is the Sandsculpting Competition right in the fifth to tenth Streets of Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The Boardwalk weekend covers three days and nights (Sept. 24 to 26, 2010).  There will be concerts daily in tented festival stages scattered along 32 blocks of Virginia Beach Boardwalk.   On the 25th, there will be a fun run in 8 km, 5 km, and 1m dash. This will start and finish at 24th St. Park.  There will also be a Grand Parade from 16th to 32nd Street on the 25th.

1950's Pop Singer Eddie Fisher Dies at 82

The pop singer, Eddie Fisher, who popularized the songs, "Sunrise,Sunset", "How Do You Speak To an Angel", "You're All I Want For Christmas"and a lot more in the late 1950's has died at age 82 in his home in Berkeley , Californian on Wednesday, September 23, 2010. 

The pop singer, who received two stars in Hollywood Walk of Fame. Fisher shocked the world when he left his then wife Debbie Reynolds and married the beauty icon, Elizabeth Taylor.  Though their marriage did not last long because Taylor was found to have an affair with another actor, Richard Burton.  Fisher married three times after Taylor and his last marraige to Betty Lin was in 1993 but Mrs Betty Fisher died in 2001.  Eddie Fisher died due to complications from his hip surgery.

Taste of Madison 2010 Schedule of Events

It's the day of eating at Taste of Madison 2010, an annual celebration participated by more thank 75 local restaurants and caterers selling at cheaper prices variety of unique and traditioinal dishes.

This Saturday, September 4,2010 be there to witness entertainment on stage as bands like Edisun, Stereoside, Aranda, 12 Stones Powerman 5000 and Smile Empty Soul performs live while more than 80 restos offers food items priced from $1 to $4 with free admission. 

On Sunday, September 5, 2010, Abused Romance, Nonpoint, Sand, Karnivool, Cobzweb, Def Pedestrians and Caroline's Spine will give you live musical performances for free. But there's only 2 things to remember when attending the Taste of Madison 2010 festival.  No pets and No carry ins allowed!
